South Border's St. Aubin is Class B girls medalist, Heart River wins team title

HANKINSON ,N.D. – South Border freshman Emily St. Aubin has three-peated as medalist of the North Dakota High School Activities Association Class B girls golf state tournament.

St. Aubin scored a 4-over 76 on Wednesday at Dakota Winds Golf Course and finished with a two-day total of 157 for the individual state championship. St. Aubin becomes just the second girls golfer in state history to win three straight individual medalist championships. Laura Kraft of Jamestown high school won three straight Class A state titles from 2008 to 2010.

In the team race, Heart River maintained its Day 1 lead to win the NDHSAA Class B team state title. Heart River shot a two-day total off 727 – 26 strokes better than Linton-HMB (753).

Heart River was paced by Katie Keator who finished with a two-day total of 167 (84-83). Keator finished fifth in the individual race.

Lauren Cain of Oak Grove shot a 163 (83-80) for runner up honors.
