2017-18 NDHSAA Gymnastics Season Preview

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The 2017-18 North Dakota High School Activities Association gymnastics season is off and running.

Dickinson is the defending state champion. Dickinson brings back a talented team that edged out Bismarck High at the state meet a year ago in the team championship points race.

Leading the way for the Midgets is sophomore Ayanna Fossum, who won the floor exercise event at state a year ago. Fossum also took second in the vault, uneven bars, and the all-around.

2017 runner up Bismarck High returns standout freshman Julia Red Wing, who won the vault, uneven bars and the all-around at state a year ago.

2017 balance beam state champion, Jamestown freshman Rachel Schiele, returns to the Blue Jays this winter. Jamestown took fourth at state a year ago.

2017-18 NDHSAA Gymnastics Important Dates:

State Meet: February 23-24, 2018 at Jamestown High School.
