2017-18 NDHSAA Boys Swimming and Diving Season Preview

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The 2017-18 North Dakota High School Activities Association boys swimming and diving season is set to begin Friday, December 8 with varsity competition.

Bismarck Century has won the last five NDHSAA state titles. A year ago, the Patriots edged out Minot by 20 points.

Returning individual state champions are:

50 Freestyle – Luke Bergstrom, Sr., Fargo South (21.67 seconds in finals at 2017 state meet)

Diving – Johnny Mindt, Jr., Mandan (480.60 points at 2017 state meet)

100 Freestyle – Zack Bueling, Sr., West Fargo Sheynne (48.13 in finals at 2017 state meet)

500 Freestyle – Jacob Smith, Sr., West Fargo Sheyenne (4:51.01 in finals at 2017 state meet)

100 Breaststroke – Jayden Porter, Jr., Bismarck Century (59.81 in finals at 2017 state meet)
