Bismarck High & New Salem-Almont grab individual team wrestling state titles

FARGO – The individual portion of the 2023 NDHSAA Wrestling State Tournament wrapped up Friday, February 17 at the FARGODOME.

Bismarck High scored 172.5 points to win its sixth consecutive Class A team individual state championship.

New Salem-Almont won its program’s first ever NDHSAA Class B team individual state championship scoring 193 points.

Lisbon senior Boeden Greenley became just the seventh prep wrestler in state history to win five individual state championships. Greenley won the 2023 Class B Boys 170-pound state championship. He joins Kyle Burwick (Hettinger/Scranton, Erik Loepp (Oakes), Scott Glasser (Bismarck High), Levi Haugen (Bishop Ryan) and Dave Hilliard (Lakota) as five-time state champions. West Fargo High’s Jordan Shearer is the only prep wrestler in state history to win six individual state championships.
