BISMARCK – Below is a synopsis of Day 1 of the 2019 NDHSAA State Track and Field Meet held at the MDU Resources Community Bowl.

Class B Boys Long Jump

Bo Belquist of New Rockford-Sheyenne wins NDHSAA Class B Boys Long Jump state championship with a jump of 21 feet, 8 ¾ inches.

Class A Boys Discus

Nathan Kraft of Bismarck Century wins NDHSAA Class A Boys Discus state championship with a throw of 163 feet, one inch.

1,600 Meters

Lana Krack of Thompson wins NDHSAA Class B Girls 1,600 Meters state championship with a time of 5:04.38.

Meghan Ford of Jamestown wins NDHSAA Class A Girls 1,600 Meters state championship with a time of 4:55.24.

Isaac Huber of Edgeley/Kulm wins NDHSAA Class B Boys 1,600 Meters state championship 4:17.58, a new Class B Boys state record.

Sean Korsmo of Bismarck High wins NDHSAA Class A Boys 1,600 Meters state championship 4:25.63.

Class A Girls Triple Jump

Kaitlyn Emmil of Bismarck Legacy wins NDHSAA Class A Girls Triple Jump state championship with a jump of 36-05.50.

Class B Boys Discus

Kaden Pastian of Hillsboro/Central Valley wins NDHSAA Class B Class B Boys Discus state championship with a throw of 180 feet, 4 inches.

Class A Boys High Jump

Josh Darwin of Wahpeton wins NDHSAA Class A Boys High Jump state championship with a jump of 6 feet, 6 inches.

Class B Girls Long Jump

Brooke Blessum of Rugby wins NDHSAA Class B Girls Long Jump state championship with a jump of 17-03.50.

Class A Girls Discus

Shelby Frank of Grand Forks Red River wins NDHSAA Class A Girls Discus state championship with a throw of 154 feet, 11 inches.

Class B Boys Pole Vault

Kaleb McGraw of Beulah wins NDHSAA Class B Boys Pole Vault state championship with a vault of 12 feet, 6 inches.

Class A Boys Triple Jump

Nsengiyumva Corode of West Fargo High wins NDHSAA Class A Boys Triple Jump state championship with a jump of 48 feet, 5 inches, a new overall and Class A Boys state record.

Class B Girls Discus

Paige Haakenson of Nelson County wins NDHSAA Class B Girls Discus state championship with a throw of 122 feet, 8 inches..

Class A Girls High Jump

Gabrielle Jung of Dickinson wins NDHSAA Class A Girls High Jump state championship with a jump of 5 feet, 4 inches.

Class A 4x800 Meter Relay

Bismarck Century (Peyton Jensen, Gracie Grinsteiner, Erin Palmer and Emily Goldade) wins Class A Girls 4x800 Meter Relay state championship with a time of 9:26.72.

Bismarck High (Joey Patchen Mills, Sean Korsmo, Michael Omvig and Preston Wachter) wins Class A Boys 4x800 Meter Relay state championship with a time of 8:01.44.

Class B 4x800 Meter Relay

Thompson (Claire Snyder, Kaela Schultz, Emma Cullen and Lana Krack) wins Class B Girls 4x800 Meter Relay state championship with a time of 10:04.33.

New Town (Phoenix White, Ricardo Chase, Addison Red Fox and Jaiven Hale) wins Class B Boys 4x800 Meter Relay state championship with a time of 8:08.42.
