Forum Communications Foundation pledges $375,000 to NDHSAA

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Forum Communications Foundation has pledged $375,000 to North Dakota High School Activities Association member schools over the next five years, 2018-2023.

The donation will be divided into five annual payments of $75,000 to the NDHSAA, which will be added to the NDHSAA’s team payment plan used to distribute profits to its member schools once operating costs are figured. The NDHSAA is a non-profit organization with 169 member schools.

“The NDHSAA is ecstatic about the Foundation’s commitment to educationally-based activities and their generous gift that will directly impact every high school in North Dakota,” NDHSAA Executive Director Matt Fetsch said.

North Dakota students who participate in NDHSAA-sponsored activities will be the beneficiaries of the Forum Communications Foundation pledge. The Forum Communications Foundation is chaired by William C. Marcil Sr.

The NDHSAA and Forum Communications Company recently completed a five-year television broadcasting contract and are entering a new five-year agreement starting this fall. Forum Communications Company broadcasts NDHSAA Tier I events which include Dakota Bowl Football State Championships, Boys & Girls State Hockey, Class B Girls Basketball State Tournament, Class B Boys Basketball State Tournament and the Class A Boys and Girls Basketball State Tournament.
