  • Five years ago, Bismarck Century defeated Bismarck High 4-3 in penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw in the 2013 NDHSAA boys soccer state championship.

  • Grand Forks Red River defeated Fargo South 2-1 in a shootout during the 2005 NDHSAA boys soccer state championship match.

  • Charlie Paukert of Grand Forks Central won back-to-back NDHSAA boys tennis individual singles state titles in 2003 and 2004.

  • Brady Ballweber and Keyan Farahmand of West Fargo won back-to-back NDHSAA boys tennis individual doubles state titles in 2013 and 2014.

  • Kelby Rinas of Mandan won the 2017 NDHSAA Class A girls cross country individual state championship at Bjornson Golf Course in Valley City.

  • Reagan Baesler of Hillsboro/Central Valley has won back-to-back NDHSAA Class B girls cross country individual state titles (2016 and 2017).

  • New Town has won two NDHSAA Class B girls cross country team state championships (2002 and 2008).

  • Valley City has won one NDHSAA Class A girls cross country team state championship (1980).

  • Jessica Monson of Fargo Shanley won back-to-back NDHSAA Class A girls golf individual state championships in 1997 and 1998.

  • Fargo Davies has won three NDHSAA Class A girls golf team state championships (2011, 2012, 2015).
